The most difficult thing for an artist is how to recognize their own artistic strength and leave the rest of interesting and seductive ways of artistic expressions behind them. In the beginning of my artistic awakening, when the Lord encouraged me to start to paint, I painted intuitively, not with the mind or understanding, but with the heart. Then I came to the period where I observed other artists and their works. I wanted to gain understanding how things are done and I became drawn to different styles and just as a child, I wanted to try everything. In my heart the Holy Spirit was alarming me that this is not the way I should go. So, I was very confused. I started to pray to my Lord to lighten my way, but all the time, I didn't want to stop painting, because I knew that I needed to continue to work and develop my skills. In today's world where everybody is thinking about their sale numbers, with so much pressure on, people often forget that the goal is not making money (yes, you need money to live and to work), but to give the best of yourself, to work as if you give all that you have in that work. So, the goal for an artist is to understand how can he give his best through their work. It is not, or should I say, it never supposes to be that you learn how to do all what other well known artists allready had done. The Lord had answered my prayers and He gave the answer through a painter I had met. Now I need to go back to my beginnings and try to put together my intuition with my knowledge and skill. And I have a life time to do it.
