Morning sky and burst of colors inspired me to paint and think about God's word in 1 Corinthians 7:7, “Every man hath his proper gift from God” (King James version). "Proper" means "fitted."
God has a perfect gift for people that perfectly fits their life.
That gifts are unique for each one. Your gifts are different from others.
The gift is an ability to do God's work.
The gift comes from God.

Now regarding art and Bible, why then do we measure someone's work and excellence by the crowd who is applauding and not by God's measure?

"What happens when we use our gifts?"

In the parable of Jesus Christ in Matthew 25, the servants were given talents. When the servant used his five talents faithfully, he was rewarded with five more. "'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"
You will lose the gifts you don’t use... "Use ’em or lose ’em." This is a law of nature, if you don’t use an arm or leg, you’ll lose its use. Tie an arm to your side with adhesive tape and eventually lose it.
If you have a farm and don’t plow, plant and tend it constantly, you’ll lose that ground to weeds and trees.
So God commands, "Do not neglect the gift that is in you" (I Tim. 4:14).

Do everything you can and do everything you have the opportunity to do.
Don’t wait to take a survey before serving God.
Don’t wait for other people to ask you to serve in your gift.
Don’t wait till you feel better...
Serving God with a gift will grow your gift.

"Stir up the gift of God which is within you" (II Tim. 1:6).
