In my creative efforts I love to try different things. I can get so excited with the possibilities. And often it can draw me far away from my starting point. It is good to explore new techniques or to challenge your hand to obey new movements. But often it can be very confusing and I feel lost and disappointed with my incapability to fulfill my ideas.
The Holy Spirit reminds me then that I need to remember my beginnings. “Remember the day of the small things.” Zechariach 4:10
That always brought me back to my starting point and refreshes my memory why I paint and for whom. "This is the word of the Lord" came the message. "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty."

Do you despise your failures? Don't. Surrender them to the God who delights in taking human weakness and showing His strength. Take another look at your discarded dreams, this time through God's eyes:
"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' says the LORD of hosts." Zechariah 4:6.
