I have my doubts about this painting. It is different from my last days work. But...
In many countries there is still wolf-hunting season. The way the people slaughtered wolves in the past out of fear, ignorance, it lead to extinction of the wolves in many regions. The way we today selfishly run our daily lives, without care for the other living creatures, it makes me sad. Our neglect about the Land we are given to live on... and this painting is for them... wild, survivors... in hope that at least a few of you who watch my blog, will have the same sadness and understanding that these animals are from God and belong to God. Wolves have they purpose on this Earth.

I am so restless this morning, sadness is overwhelming me.

"My people, my children, my animals cry out loud to Me", these are the words that are pounding in my mind all night, all morning. These are the words that the Holy Spirit is bringing.
I cry for Africa, I cry for the Earth that is wounded with deeds of "the proud one".

The Word for today is from Habakkuk 2:

I will stand on my guard post
And station myself on the rampart;
And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me,
***
And say, ‘Woe to him who increases what is not his—
For how long—
And makes himself rich with loans?’
***
Because you have looted many nations,
All the remainder of the peoples will loot you—
Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land,
To the town and all its inhabitants.

“Woe to him who gets evil gain for his house
To put his nest on high,
To be delivered from the hand of calamity!

“You have devised a shameful thing for your house
By cutting off many peoples;
So you are sinning against yourself.

“Surely the stone will cry out from the wall,
And the rafter will answer it from the framework.

“Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed
And founds a town with violence!

For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you,
And the devastation of its beasts by which you terrified them,
Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land,
To the town and all its inhabitants.

But the LORD is in His holy temple.
Let all the earth be silent before Him

We were on the island Pag on Saturday. Intense emotions that I experienced looking in that landscape, naked island with very little vegetations, withe in contrast with blue/green color of the sea and the wind that brought deep blue and gray clouds... I am field with inspirations for new series. It was long time ago when I paint landscapes.
The only think that makes me tired is this unusual hot weather for this time of year. I need to fight against it, that I can make some more paintings.
